Tiger Cub, Jingga
The female Sumatran tiger cub, born on March 18th, is growing up fast and on exhibit daily until 3 pm with her mother.

Red River Hog Piglets
The three Red river hog piglets, born on July 16th are on exhibit daily with mom and dad and can be seen running around the Bongo exhibit.

Zoo Photo Safari Class September 18: 8 am to 2 pm
Learn how to take digital photos at the Zoo that are more than just snapshots! Explore lenses, memory cards, composition, settings and much more.

Deaf Awareness Day September 18: 9 am to 4 pm
Join us for a special day for our deaf and hard of hearing community, sponsored by NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. ASL interpreters will be onsite.

Zoo Closes Early at 1:30 pm October 2: 1:30 pm
The Zoo will be closing at 1:30 pm for set up of Wild Affair. Last admission will be sold at 1:30 pm and guests may stay on grounds until 2:30 pm. |

Spend an enchanted evening at the Zoo at our annual Gala - Wild Affair. Event includes behind-the-scenes tours, gourmet dinner, silent and live auction.

Who we are!
Open since 1927, the Sacramento Zoo is home to over 140 native, rare and endangered species and is one of over 200 accredited institutions of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The Zoo is wholly managed by the nonprofit Sacramento Zoological Society and inspires conservation awareness through education and recreation.
