Earth Fest - It's a Party for the Planet!
Saturday, April 3, 2010
9am to 4pm

Almost 2,000 people braved the chilly morning and came out to Earth Fest this year! We had a great variety of vendors and organizations. Thank everyone!

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by visiting the animals we share the Earth with. The Sacramento Zoo Earth Day party is on April 3rd and will have crafts, entertainment and activities.  Participants will include environmental and conservation organizations, nature clubs, recycling businesses and more. Don't forget to stop by the Recycle Rummage Sale inside the Kampala center for a great bargain.

The Sacramento Zoo is partnering with Village Nurseries in Sacramento in helping our community stay green. Village Nurseries will be reusing used 1, 5 and 15 gallon plant containers. Bring your used containers to the Zoo or into Village Nurseries, and the nursery will donate credit to help the Sacramento Zoo further beautify their grounds, and to spread their message of sustainable living.
