Nestled in the classically beautiful William Land Park, the Sacramento Zoo offers a truly unique and secluded setting for the most important day of your life!  The grounds here are private, peaceful and beautiful throughout the year.

Let our professional staff assist you in creating an experience you and your guests will never forget.  We offer an array of custom choices including the occasional furry visitor, not to mention our elegant and sophisticated menu selections. 

Ceremony Sites at the Sacramento Zoo

• The Rare Feline Center is reminiscent of an intimate canyon with Tigers and Jaguars on either side of your guests.  The foliage offers a terrific opportunity for some spectacular lighting effects in the evening. Holds up to 100 people.
• Gibbons Alley meanders through some of  our primate habitat area ending at the zebra grounds.  The mature trees in Gibbons Alley are very tall, graceful and truly give you the feel of a jungle motif. Holds up to 200 people.
• Hornbill Haven is a beautiful gentle sloping pasture with our magnificent Great hornbills, watching over your proceedings, keeping everyone in line. (Due to the breeding patterns of these endangered birds, there are seasons where Hornbill Haven is unavailable.)
• Perhaps you are more of a star at heart and a stage is your perfect idea of a wedding site, try our Amphitheater Stage, with its amazing mural backdrop of canopied gardens and rich blue sky.

Wedding Receptions at the Sacramento Zoo
Following the ceremony service, our guests are welcome to walk through the picturesque grounds to Kampala Center on Lake Victoria.  (The number of people Kampala can accommodate changes with the seasons, 125 in Winter and up to 200 in Summer.)

The nearby Lake Victoria area, with its sweeping willows and delicate pink Flamingos, is the most popular site for wedding receptions.  Dance under the stars with various harmonious strains from our feathered and furry friends of the Sacramento Zoo.
